armstrongceling_titleBack in May I bought a new house. I’ve been really excited about making upgrades and changing things so that the house is truly a reflection of myself.

Popcorn and damaged ceilings are something homeowners frequently come up against and it can be a pain to remove. I’m talking hours of scraping and sanding. Now only are these kinds of ceilings ugly in and of themselves, but they can bring down the entire look and feel of an otherwise beautifully decorated room.

I have always been a fan of historic architecture, especially the ceiling work in old houses and buildings. In those buildings you can often find architectural elements such as wood ceilings and even cedar walls.

I love the look of wooden and even tin ceilings and would love something like that in my living room, dining room, or even the kitchen! I never attempted it though because I always thought it would be too expensive or too difficult.

Until now that is!

Armstrong Ceilings Lowes DisplayI was at Lowes the other day when the Armstrong Ceilings display caught my eye. The display showed all of the different looks you can create using Armstrong products.

Armstrong Ceilings Tin Look DisplayArmstrong Ceilings Wood Look DisplayWhether you are looking to create the look of an old fashioned tin ceiling, a wood ceiling, or even a traditional drop ceiling, Armstrong has the products to help you create a look you love. Since I already love a more primitive decor, I really love the Classic Country planks. They give the house that old farmhouse feel.

Plus, Armstrong Ceilings are perfect for if you have a room with popcorn ceilings or even a damaged ceiling. Plus, they are easy to install. Armstrong uses Easy up installation tracks which only require four steps: attach the tracks to the ceiling, snap on the clips, position the Classic Country planks, and slide and secure the clips. It’s that easy!

This is such an easy and way more effective option for remedying ugly ceilings — way better than scraping and sanding.

Armstrong Ceilings Country Classic Plank, tin ceiling tiles (uses a different installation process), and Easy Up track are all available at Lowes. Be sure to check out the Armstrong Ceilings display, if your store has one, for some really great inspiration. If your store doesn’t stock Armstrong Ceiling products you can also order online through the Lowes Special Order Express which will get you your product in seven days or less.

Get even more inspiration through the Armstrong Ceilings Facebook and Twitter pages as well!
