Although I will not be shopping on Thanksgiving and maybe not Black Friday, it doesn’t mean that I can’t get a head start with some of the online deals that have already started. In fact, I have already been shopping the Family Christian Black Friday sale online.

It is written as one continuing story which makes it read as a novel, except it isn’t a novel — it is the Truth! The best part is that you can buy this book for ONLY $5! That is an amazing price!

In addition to these products, there are tons of other $5 Doorbusters ranging from gifts, to books, to DVDs, and even CDs. There is something for everyone!

I have talked before about how I am against shopping on Thanksgiving because that is a day that should be reserved for family, and our desire to shop should not make employees miss out on time with their own families. Often, I feel that the true spirit of Christmas is lost in our desire to acquire things. This is why it is so refreshing to see Family Christian using some of this Black Friday’s profits to help those in need.

27 million men, women, and children throughout the world are enslaved in human trafficking. 27 million. That number is just overwhelming. Family Christian bookstores is doing something about it though. They are partnering with Destiny Rescue to raise $150,000 this holiday season to help start a Destiny Rescue program in the Dominican Republic, a country that desperately needs their efforts.

Now through November 30, when you shop in store and online at Family Christian Bookstores, the earnings from your purchases will go toward The Challenge and helping Destiny Rescue. More than $32,000 has already been raised, but there is still a ways to go.

Will you open your heart and help?
