I can’t believe my older son is starting kindergarten this fall. (Where has the time gone?) I have been working hard at teaching him the skills he will need so that he is about to keep up next year. From what I’ve heard from friends with older children, things move much more quickly in kindergarten than they ever did in preschool. This is why it is so important for me to know that my son will be able to keep up with the other kids.
Helping my son be comfortable with testing will be a major part of getting him ready for kindergarten as well. In fact, now that he is registered for kindergarten he will be having his kindergarten readiness tests coming up soon.
As a single mom, however, it can be hard to do all that I need to to help my son. Thankfully, there are resources out there to help me.
Recently, a program called TestingMom.com reached out to me to experience their program for preparing your child for testing. TestingMom.com is an accredited online site which offers test prep and skill-building programs for children ages PreK to 8th grade. What is even better is that when you create a TestingMom.com account, you can get 100 free practice questions instantly!I’ve been working with my son on the TestingMom.com website using my tablet, but it can also be used with a phone or a computer. I previously set up a profile for him which will ask him grade appropriate questions.
In addition to the test readiness questions, TestingMom.com has, the site haws also partnered with over 30 additional educational websites through the skill building section of the site. There are an array of educational programs to help your child in reading, math, vocabulary, and more. Having prescreened sites is invaluable to me as a parent.
There are so many fabulous learning resources out there that it can be difficult to know what to invest your time and money in. TestingMom.com is continually working to compile the best learning resources for my son so I know he’s getting the best educational experience. Head over to TestingMom.com today to see what it can do for your child!
