Maternity clothes are expensive, and lets face it, not all of them are very stylish. When I was pregnant with E, I only purchased a few pieces of new maternity clothes. I just couldn’t justify spending $50 on a shirt that I would only be wearing for such a limited amount of time. I ended up purchasing several lots of maternity clothes on Craigslist, but even those weren’t pieces I loved.

Now that I am pregnant with #2, I am getting to the point where I am needing to wear maternity clothes. The great thing is that instead of having to resort to buying clothes on Craigslist, I have found PinkBlush Maternity.

PinkBlush is a company that exclusively makes maternity clothes with a mission to provide customers with cute and trendy maternity clothes at low prices. Instead of the boxy, boring, and expensive maternity clothes that most maternity clothes companies make, PinkBlush has a variety of clothes that are actually stylish.

I have to admit that many of the clothes that I bought during my first pregnancy fell into the “boxy and boring” category. I never felt overly fashionable, but more thought of maternity clothes as just a necessary evil. When PinkBlush offered to send me one of their pieces for this pregnancy I was excited. My first REAL maternity dress. I chose a red and navy blue maxi dress. I figured that this dress could work for all stages of my pregnancy, and even be used after!

I loved the feel of the material and how nice it looked on me. Since its starting to get a little cool here in Pennsylvania, I just paired the dress with a nice navy blue cardigan. The colors matched perfectly! The only downside to the dress was that it has a rather low cut back. This may just be how it fits on me, but my bra showed through the back of the dress.

The back of the dress was covered by the cardigan, so it wasn’t a problem, but I don’t know how it would look in the summer. I can say that no matter what I wouldn’t be going without a bra while pregnant! I suppose that for during the summer, I could wear a short sleeved cardigan or even a cami underneath.

You can find dresses like this, activewear, tops, bottoms, and even nursing wear at PinkBlush for about $35 a piece. The best part (especially for bargain hunters like me) is that they have a huge clearance section which has some fabulous deals.

If you are currently in the market for some cute maternity wear, here is the best part. PinkBlush is offering me the opportunity to give away a $25 gift certificate to PinkBlush. Enter using the form below for your chance to win!

  1. The blue-red skirt along with the top looks beautiful. Can you suggest me some more comfortable dresses as my better half is in her maternity period?
