Mia Mariu Makeup Review and Giveaway

I recently had the opportunity to do a review of Mia Mariu makeup. I was super excited because right now I have just been using the cheap drugstore makeup, so having some high quality makeup again was exciting!

I received both the Mineral Cream Foundation and Hydrating Stick Gloss. Both were packaged really nicely and certainly looked high quality (much more so than my drugstore makeup!). One thing I noticed with the cream foundation right away is that it didn’t come with a sponge. This seems to be a problem with a lot of cream foundations and also powders. I still had a sponge from some foundation that I had had before, so I just used that instead.

What I love about this foundation ($23 value) though is how smoothly it goes on and how well it blends. I ordered this color based on what I had seen online without actually trying it, and it ended up being perfect! If you aren’t as comfortable just picking what you think works best, Mia Mariu also has a tool to pick your shade. Using the sponge, I was able to spread it on evenly, without it clumping up or looking streaky.

I also received one of the Hydrating Stick Gloss ($15 value). I am not usually much of a lip gloss person, but I thought I would give this one a try. I was happy with this product also! It goes on very smooth and unlike some lip glosses it actually tastes good. The only thing is that it it doesn’t have a whole lot of coverage, so I would suggest using this after you have already applied regular lipstick, or use it for touchups.
