Macy's Holiday Event“It’s the most wonderful time of the year … “

Whoever wrote these song lyrics had the same feelings about Christmas as I do. I love being able to watch Christmas movies with the boys, look at Christmas lights, pick out ornaments, and most importantly, do Christmas crafts.

I love being able to take the boys places in order to allow them to see new places and experience new things. Not only is this a way to expand their educational horizons, but also to be able to make memories as a family.

I want to make these memories now, because I know that one day I will wake up and the boys will be all grown up and I not only want to have these precious memories but I also want the boys to have them. This is why I am taking the boys to our local Macy’s this holiday season for their free Holiday Event.

Macy’s stores across the country will be hosting afternoons full of holiday family activities such as reading circles, sweet treats, visits from Santa or Mrs. Claus, music, and crafts. This event will also feature the unveiling of the Macy’s holiday window decor as well as a tree lighting ceremony.

Another activity that you won’t want to miss is the chance to write a letter to Santa. When your child drops a letter to Santa into the big red letterbox or writes a letter online, Macy’s will donate $1 to Make-A-Wish (up to 1 million dollars) to help grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Our family will be attending our local event at the Macy’s in Monroeville, PA on November 14 at 1 p.m. Even if you aren’t in the Western Pennsylvania area, you can find a Macy’s Holiday Event near you. It sounds like a wonderful event that you, and your family, will love. I hope to see you there!
