Pumpkin Drink BucketIt’s that time of the year when ghosts and goblins come out to play — it’s Halloween! Whether you are preparing for guests at a Halloween party or want some treats for yourself when you are passing out Halloween goodies at Trick or Treat, you need a clever way to hold your drinks.

Instead of putting your soda cans in a regular cooler, why not make a pumpkin drink bucket?

Cutting Craft PumpkinPumpkin with Top offI used a craft pumpkin, but you can also use a real pumpkin. Start by removing the top of the pumpkin. I used a hot knife and cut a zig-zag pattern around the top and pulled the top off.

Stencil on Craft PumpkinI wanted to decorate the outside of the pumpkin and when I found a “Pick Your Poison” stencil I knew it would be perfect since this pumpkin will be for holding ice and drinks.

I used some temporary spray adhesive and stuck the stencil to the one side of the pumpkin. Then, using a stencil sponge and purple paint, I painted over the stencil, covering all of the open spaces.

Remove the stencil and let the paint dry.

Once the paint has dried, your pumpkin is ready to be filled and used. I recommend only using this ice bucket to hold drinks in cans or bottles and not to hold ice for glasses.

minimonsterscansI filled my pumpkin drink bucket with the new Halloween Monster Mini Cans from Walmart. These small, 7.5 ounce cans are perfect for whatever Halloween festivities you have planned!

cansinpumpkinPlus, they come in six different flavors including Sunkist®, A&W® Root Beer, 7UP®, Canada Dry®, Squirt®, and Big Red®. Each can features a different monster.

appphotoWhat is really cool is that not only can you enjoy the monsters on the cans, but the mini monsters come to life through an augmented reality experience. All you have to do is buy your favorite Mini Monsters in the limited edition cans, download the Mini Monsters AR app, scan the monsters on the cans, and watch the monsters come to life! Plus, if you scan more than one monster you can watch them interact with each other!

This app also allows readers to record a video of their monster experience and even take selfies with your favorite monster!

These mini monster cans, such as Canada Dry or 7UP, are also perfect for making mocktails.

pumpkindrinkbucket_finishedWhatever your Halloween entertaining plans are, the Halloween Monster Mini cans are the perfect complement.

You can find the Halloween Monster Mini cans in the soda section of your local Walmart. You can also earn $1.00 back when you purchase the Halloween Monster Mini cans at Walmart and use the Ibotta app.

Oh my goodness, that is a BRILLIANT idea! I’m seriously in love with this! Now I have to go to the store and find a craft pumpkin and a hot knife to make this! (i love using a craft pumpkin cause then I can use it year after year!) And 7-up and A&W Root Beer are our favorite sodas,(it HAS to be A&W we are a brand snob when it comes to Root Beer) so this is perfect!
