Football season is right around the corner. Can you believe it? This means it is time for football parties, tailgates, and other get-togethers. This means that I need to come up with some mouth-watering recipes. One of my favorite tailgate recipes is loaded nachos, but I decided to get a little creative with it this year.
I recently discovered LA MORENA® products, particularly the sliced jalapeños which were perfect for the nachos. Depending on what variety you are looking for, LA MORENA® has both already sliced as well as whole jalapeños.

I purchased a can of both the sliced as well as the whole jalapeños. I planned on using the sliced version for the nachos themselves and then the whole ones could be served on the side in case my guests wanted to spice up their nachos even more.
Easy Avocado and Jalapeño Loaded Nachos
I wanted to do something beyond the regular nachos, ground beef, and shredded cheese so I decided to get creative with some of my ingredients. For these nachos, in addition to the beef, nacho chips, and cheese, I also used avocados, tomatoes, and sliced jalapeños.
Start with a bed of nachos and generously heap with ground beef and shredded cheese. You can even pop the nachos into the microwave for a few seconds to get the cheese nice and melty.
Next you want to start loading the nachos with all of the goodies such as the sliced avocados and tomatoes.
Now here is when I went out of my tastebud comfort zone for the first time. Usually I am a bit unsure about spicy foods, but I felt that these nachos needed a bit of a kick so I decided to purchase some LA MORENA® sliced jalapeños.
After cutting the jalapeños into small slices I added them to the mixture on top of the nachos. It turned out delicious!
Love It? Pin It!
It turns out I had been wrong about spicy food for all of these years. The jalapeños gave the nachos the dimension that they were lacking.
Although I just discovered LA MORENA®, they have actually been the leader in the chilis and peppers category of authentic brands for over 35 years. They are committed to providing the highest quality of flavors so a whole new generation can discover their taste.
You can purchase LA MORENA® products in the authentic Mexican section of your local Giant Eagle. Be sure to check out the LA MORENA® to discover (or rediscover) some additional flavors and recipes! Plus, stay tuned to find out where LA MORENA® is taking me this summer!
