It’s no big secret that since I had my son in December of last year I haven’t been happy with how my body looks. Although I am working on getting back into shape it is shaping up (no pun intended) to be a long road. One company that has been helping me on this road is Delfin Spa.

Delfin Spa specializes in making workout gear which features Bio-Ceramic material. Bio-ceramics are produced by combining various mineral oxides and 20 types of ceramics. This material is then embedded into a thin layer in the polyester lining of the gear.

Ok, so what does all this technical speak really mean? It means that the bio-ceramic material increases body heat by using the body’s own infrared rays to help enhance the effectiveness of exercise, increases blood flow and will help speed up your metabolism to be able to burn more calories. The great part about the Delfin shorts and capris is that it really targets problem areas such as the legs, butt, and belly. Delfin even sells an anti cellulite cream which will further speed up the process of breaking down unwanted dimples on your legs or butt.

The workout pants themselves come in either capris or shorts. They are made out of 1.5mm of neoprene including a soft lining of nylon and Lycra. It also contains an anti-microbial preservative that will help reduce the build up of bacteria. They are meant to be worn snugly fitting instead of loose. There are not specific sizes for men or women, so you will need to refer to the size chart on the company’s website.

After reviewing the product, overall I was pretty satisfied. The product seems to be made of high quality material and it fits well. What I especially like is that there is a small pocket on the side of the capris which is great to hold iPods or cell phones during your workout. Most workout pants I have found don’t have pockets, meaning I either need an armband or have to hold my iPod.

There are a couple of drawbacks to the item though. When you first take it out of the package it definitely has a rubbery smell. This smell is from the neoprene and will eventually wear off. Another downside is that you can’t machine wash them. They are supposed to be hand washed with a mild detergent and left to air dry. I know this is because of the bio ceramic material, but it makes it somewhat inconvenient.

I look forward to continuing to wear these capris, and hopefully my body will eventually get into shape!!

  1. I have been looking at the Delfin Spa Bio Ceramic capris. How well did this work for you? I am not recovering from a pregnancy. In fact, those years are far behind me. I would like to see a product that actually does what it says. Can you see a reduction in cellulite? Did wearing this product speed up your weight loss? Your input would be appreciated. Thanks!
