Nuby Bath Thermometer Clock

Shortly after E started sitting up, he really began to enjoy having a bath. He would take his bath toys into the tub and he could play for 10 or 15 minutes. It was much better than having to wrestle him in the tub. I did worry about the water temperature. What seemed perfect to me either left E with a little red butt when I got him out of the tub or his little chin would tremble from being cold.

Then I got the Nuby bath clock and thermometer. This cute little turtle incorporates a clock, a timer that counts up or down, and a thermometer that displays in Celsius or Fahrenheit. As soon as the thermometer contacts the bath water it begins counting. This tells you how long baby has been in the bath (you don’t want him getting pruney!)

Now, the best part of this is the thermometer. The turtle floats and also displays what the temperature of the water is. If the water gets too hot there is a little red light that will flash and beep to alert you. This keeps baby’s bum from getting too toasty!

Something like this would also be perfect during pregnancy. When I was pregnant with E, especially toward the end of the pregnancy, I would love taking a bath in the evenings. I was always concerned about the water getting too hot though. I actually took a regular thermometer into the tub to make sure that the water was to hot. Something like this would have been perfect and then I could have used it for the baby afterwards! (Note to self: this would make a perfect baby shower gift!)

These cute thermometers come in either a duck or a turtle shape. E had a great time playing both in and out of the tub with it. When the bath was over, I just take it out and sit it on the side of the tub and it will be ready to go for next time!

You can pick one of these up at BuyBabyDirect for only $10.99!
