peanutbuttercrackerreindeerLittle E’s preschool class party is coming up soon so I have started thinking up cute ideas for treats. Being a blogger, everyone always looks to me for the cute and creative treats. I guess that means that I can’t show up with store-bought cupcakes!

This year I decided to make some peanut butter sandwich cracker reindeer using RITZ Crackers. I cured that not only would they be something that kids would love, but they are also so cute and are perfect for holiday parties.

  • RITZ Crackers

  • Candy Eyes
  • Red Circular Candies (for the nose)
  • Pretzel Twists
  • Meltable Chocolate Wafers

peanutbuttercrackersYou will want to begin by making cracker sandwiches stuffed with peanut butter using the RITZ Crackers. Put a generous amount of peanut butter in the crackers.

To make the antlers, I used some pretzel twists. I experimented with some different kids, but found that the thin ones were the easiest to break into the right shape. After you have broken the pretzels, stick the ends into the peanut butter between the RITZ Crackers.

Once the mixture is smooth and pourable, use a bamboo skewer to pour the chocolate into the center of the cracker and push it over the sides. I then used the skewer to smooth and shape the chocolate.

Place the candy eyes and red candy for the nose.

Let the chocolate harden. You can speed up this process by putting the reindeer in the refrigerator or freezer. Once the chocolate has hardened, you can further shape the chocolate by snapping off any excess.
