I am a cat lady. Notice I didn’t say crazy cat lady. Just a cat lady. I have two cats who are like my children. The only problem is that my cats don’t like each other. Not one little bit.

In fact, my one cat, Tango, lives upstairs in my house and the other cat, Chicken Fingers, lives in the basement. When Tango started having problems with going to the bathroom in the house I realized that he was afraid to go to the basement where I had kept the litter box. Cat problems.

So I realized I needed to put a litter box in the upstairs of my house as well. Anyone who has owned a cat or had a little box knows how unpleasant they are. They smell, and who likes changing the litter constantly? Since I would be keeping this box in my office I decided to try something different and tried the Litter Robot.

I actually had the opportunity to experience the Litter Robot at the Blogger Bash conference in New York City this summer, and when I saw it I thought it was genius. It actually reduces the amount of times that you have to clean the litter box while reducing litter waste.

The Litter Robot works for cats 5 pounds and larger and has a large entryway and litter chamber which makes both cats like Chicken Fingers, who is small, and Tango, who is large feel comfortable.

That’s not the real magic though. The real magic is its litter-sifting and automatic cleaning capability.

You can set the timer so that either 3, 7, or 15 minutes after your cat leaves the litter box, the box will begin to cycle. The cycle separates the waste from the clean litter and deposits the clumps into a waste drawer for easy disposal.

Once the drawer is full, a light will blink alerting you to the fact that the bag needs changed. Just swap out the old bag for a new one and you are ready to go. So much easier than traditional scooping!

The Litter Robot is so convenient, especially since with the chaos of two kids and a house, I am not always so diligent with getting to the litter box. This was the answer to my prayers!

You can purchase Litter Robot on line at Litter-Robot.com. There you will find the Litter Robot units, accessories, and even furniture.
