“I participated in an Influencer Activation Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for mike’s hard lemonade. I received a Circle K gift card to facilitate this review and a promotional item to thank me for participating.”
Being a mom can be demanding. Whether it be changing diapers, cleaning the house, making dinner, or taking kids to activities, we barely have time to sit down. It can be easy to overlook ourselves.
For some moms, taking time for themselves might be getting a manicure or pedicure, for others, it might mean going to the movies — alone! No matter what you choose, however, it is important to take some time out for yourself.
One of the ways I do this is by relaxing on our back patio with my husband and some mikes hard lemonade. We have a nice, flat backyard, so while my kids play it gives my husband and I a chance to unwind and catch up while watching the kids.
mikes uses real lemons — the whole lemon, including both the juice and the zest — to flavor its beverages, resulting in the crispest, most refreshing taste.
Right now, mikes hard lemonade is available in pink lemonade, a limited edition seasonal flavor that is available now through October. The pink lemonade flavor starts out with a crisp, bright citrus flavor, and finishes tart and refreshing. What is even better is that since 2009 when Mike’s Hard Lemonade Co. first released the pink lemonade flavor, they have been able to contribute more than $1 million to breast cancer research.
This is one of the things that makes me love October so much (besides the fact that my birthday is in October.) There are so many things available in pink (my favorite color!) in celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. What could be better than purchasing something you love and supporting a great cause?
The pink lemonade flavor is available anywhere you buy beer, including Circle K. Circle K is a great one stop shop to pick up a snack after sports practice, things for a sleepover, or even a few necessities for dinner!
Life is so busy that it is important to take a few minutes to recharge. A relaxed and refreshed mommy is a happy mommy. So, do as I do and take a few minutes to watch your kids playing and “drink pink.” You will not only have a moment to savor for yourself, but you will also be supporting a greater food by helping to raise breast cancer awareness.
