Are you ready for some football? I know I am! Whether it is high school, college, or professional football, I am always up for a good game!

I am especially excited about the start of college football as my alma mater is a large football school. Going to the games give me the chance to not only go back to visit but also to get in some good tailgating.

Whether you are tailgating at the game or even just at home watching the game with some friends, throwing the perfect tailgate is essential. One of my favorite things to do at a tailgate is to grill out with my miniature charcoal grill using Kingsford® Charcoal. I just open the grill, fill it with the Kingsford Charcoal and cook some delicious appetizers.

One appetizer that I am loving these days is steak tips made with a Dr Pepper® marinade. Delicious! Plus it is easy to make.

Dr Pepper Marinade Steak Tips

These Dr Pepper Marinade Steak Tip Skewers are delicious plus they are the perfect food to prepare ahead of time and then grill up at the tailgate. Just think of it as grill-gating!

Other Delicious Grill-Gating Ideas

In addition to picking up the Kingsford® Charcoal for the grill and Dr Pepper for the marinade, be sure to pick up other essentials such as RITZ crackers and Hidden Valley® Ranch which go together to make the perfect cheese platter. Just cube some cheese (I chose cheddar and Monterey Jack), add crackers, and add a small bowl of Hidden Valley® Ranch dip in the middle.

It’s easy and something that your other tailgaters will love.

Since you will only need one can of the Dr Pepper for the marinade, take the rest of the 12-pack to the game to share with your guests.

In addition, you will want to pick up Glad® Press’n Seal to help clean up the leftovers.

I am so excited about this upcoming football season and I know that these products will help me to throw the ultimate tailgate.  Also, be sure to hashtag your grill-gating photos with the #GrillGating and #GrillGatingHero hashtags on Twitter and Instagram for a chance to be featured on the Grill-gating website with Emmitt Smith!

You can pick up Kingsford® Charcoal, Dr Pepper, RITZ, Hidden Valley® Ranch, and Glad Press’n Seal at your local Walmart. Plus check out the grill-gating Social Hub to find more inspiration!
