I remember when I was growing up my mom would often read Mercer Mayer’s Little Critter books to me. In fact, my mom still has many of those books which she now reads to my son. I have been wanting to buy some of these books for my son because they had such good life lessons. Then I found out that not only do the Little Critter book teach valuable life lessons, but Tommy Nelson publishing has recently introduced a faith-based series of Little Critter books!

Even though E is only 21 months old, I have already started reading him books that will instill in him a strong set of values. I am happy to say that these books fit right in with my mission! Currently, there are two books in the Little Critter Inspired Kids series, It’s True and You Go First.

In It’s True, Little Critter thinks that sometimes it’s easier to tell part of the truth instead of the whole truth. In this second book in the Inspired Kids line, Little Critter learns quickly that lying has consequences and that telling the truth, no matter how hard, is always the right thing to do.

In You Go First, Litter Critter loves being first—even if it hurts his family and friends. After several missteps, Little Critter learns that the secret to getting along is treating others the way he wants to be treated—which, in Little Critter’s case, means letting someone else be first.

These books are set to be released on Tuesday, October 8, but Tommy Nelson has given me the special opportunity to let one of my readers be one of the first to check them out! Just enter the giveaway through the form below to be eligible to win a copy of BOTH books! Hurry though, the giveaways ends October 9 at 11:59 p.m. EST!
