I love to visit with family, especially when it is family that we haven’t seen in a while. These are cherished opportunities to not only catch up, but also to create more memories.

I just turned 31. Yes, I admit it, I’m now 31. My aunt is currently visiting from out of state and my grandmother’s birthday is also this month. To celebrate, we had a get-together at the house. I only see this aunt two or three times a year, so any time we can visit its nice.

Anytime you have family visiting you want to actually be able to spend time with them — not spend the whole time in the kitchen doing dishes. In fact, accruing to a survey from Cascade Platinum and Marie Claire 96 percent of people are doing their dishes incorrectly — and wasting up to an hour each week unnecessarily prewashing dishes.

A lot of people think that if they don’t prewash their dishes, it will lead to dirtier dishes and a dirtier dishwasher. The truth is, that just isn’t the case! In fact, most people don’t realize that dishwashers actually have a built-in garbage disposal so you don’t have to worry that any food that might be left on the dishes will clog your pipes.

DishwasherBeforeThe way Cascade Platinum works is that it has enzymes that actually attach to the food, breaking it down so that it can be washed away. If there is no food residue, there’s nothing for the enzymes to attach to! It even works to clean 24-hour stuck on food! So, in actuality, by skipping the prewash your dishes will actually get cleaner. Otherwise, you risk having your dishes turn out dirty, spotted, or streaked and you end up having to rewash them. This is a waste of both time and money.

I made a lot of food for the party ahead of time since we were having quite a few guests and with two small children running around, I wouldn’t have time to cook that day. This included making brownies, a cake, macaroni salad, and even some chicken salad. The best part was, I was just able to throw the dishes directly into the dishwasher and not have to worry at all about prewashing.

One of the things that I dislike the most when we are having a party is when I notice that the glasses have spots. It just looks dirty and it bothers me. This usually results in me taking a half an hour and having to hand wash the glasses. What is the good of having a dishwasher when you end up hand washing the dishes anyway? Cascade Rinse Aid is the perfect solution to this. All I have to do is squirt a little bit into the rinse aid compartment, run the dishwasher, and the dishes come out spot-free!

My sister is loving how clean the dishes turned out!

I am was so excited about how good my dishes looked that I had to show them off to my guests. They were all amazed at how well the Cascade was able to remove even the baked on food and how the dishes didn’t have any streaks or smears on them! The best part was instead of spending time prewashing and then hand washing dishes, I was able to spend this time catching up with family instead!
