When E was about four months old, he was able to roll over and support his head, but I could tell that he was frustrated that he couldn’t sit up and play with his toys. It was then that I decided to get him a Bumbo floor seat.

With the Bumbo, E remained supported but was still able to sit up and play with his toys.

Now, you may be a little concerned because of the Bumbo floor seat recall that happened a little more than a year ago. Not to worry though! Since the recall, Bumbo has installed a safety strap on all of their floor seats. (For more information about the recall, click HERE) This way, your baby can’t wiggle his or her way out of the seat and tip it over. Of course, it is important to remember to always place the floor seat on the floor or a level group surface because even when strapped in, a baby can still scoot the seat or tip it over. Otherwise, you risk the seat tipping over and causing injury.

playtray

Bumbo also sells a play tray that attaches to the floor seat which allows babies to eat and play while sitting up like the “big kids.” E loved using this tray until he was finally able to sit up on his own.

As your baby grows, Bumbo also sells booster seats, step stools, and booster seats. All of these are made with the same quality materials and workmanship that the original floor seat and play tray were made from. You can bet as E gets older, I will be investing in some of these products also!
