Pittsburgh Skyline From River

It’s time to get exploring in 2020! I’m already thinking of all the fun and exciting places the boys and I want to go in the year ahead. Not only are we planning on visiting some fantastic museums and attractions, but I really want to get out and explore the outdoors more.

One thing I’ve absolutely learned over several years of adventures is that you need to have the right footwear for wherever your adventures take you. Particularly boots. It’s always about the boots.

An adventure must-have is a solid pair of hiking boots. As part of my adventures I’ve done a lot of hiking and outdoor adventures, but I’ve also visited some abandoned locations where regular sneakers just won’t cut it. That’s why you need a decent pair of heavy (and waterproof is a plus!) hiking boots!

Let’s be honest, another must-have boot is the cute boot that you can wear to the museum and then get something to eat afterwards. You know the kind, the ones that look fantastic with a great pair of jeans and a sweater.

The third kind of boot you need is, well, the kind that is kind of an indulgence. I’m talking the kind that you need to have handy in your closet for a visit to that fancy restaurant or opening night of a theater show.

In my expert opinion all three kinds of boots are essential to the adventure-loving woman. (Just tell your husband or boyfriend I said so!) The best part is that now through January 1, 2020 boots and slippers are on sale at Macy’s

This is one of the best sales of the year with up to 75% off (restrictions may apply). There a large variety to choose from so there’s bound to be something you like. Just visit the Macy’s website to check out their fabulous selection
