ChristianBooks

Fall is just around the corner, and when I think of fall (and even winter too) I have thoughts of curling up on the couch with some hot apple cider, a warm blanket, and a good book. The only problem is that finding a good book can be difficult sometimes. I like a book that is not only entertaining, but also something that challenges and inspires me. This is why I am so excited about this new grouping of Christian books that are now available from Family Christian.

Joyce Meyer: Living Courageously

In this new book by Joyce Meyer, she explains how, as Christians, we can overcome the power of fear by calling on God. Using a blend of personal insight as well as scripture, Meyer will encourage you to overcome your fears and be all that God wants you to be.

I admit, I am a worrier. I worry about my family, about finances, about work, and just about everything else that you can think of. I really struggle with turning everything over to God, and when I do, I tend to try and take the worry back. I think this would be a powerful book for me to read!

you-can-you-will

Joel Osteen: You Can You Will

Joel Osteen identifies the eight irrefutable traits of highly successful people in his latest book. These qualities have been tested through the ages and through all different kinds of circumstances.

Joel Osteen books remind me of the Dale Carnegie books but with a Christian twist. These books would be perfect for any sort of professional in your life. My husband is a product manager and this would be fabulous for not only him, but also for his sales guys. This book isn’t available quite yet though. It releases on September 30, 2014, but is available for preorder now!

Ted Dekker: AD 30

This new book by Ted Dekker dives head first into a war that is raging between kingdoms on Earth and in the heart. An outcast daughter of one of the most powerful Bedouin sheiks in Arabia, Maviah unexpectedly crosses paths with Yesua an enigmatic teacher who talks about a way of life that offers greater power than any emperor or king.

I love historical fiction, so it seems as if this book would be right up my alley! I have never read one of Dekker’s books before, but I have heard that if you like books like The Hunger Games and Divergent, you will love this book! It releases on October 28, 2014, but is available for preorder now!

jesus-daily

Aaron Tabor: Jesus Daily: 365 Interactive Devotions

This book builds on themes originally found on the most active Facebook page in Facebook history. This new book by Aaron Tabor goes beyond to create a deeper experience that celebrates your journey in Christ. It challenges you to respond to each daily reflection using social media.

I love that this book goes beyond your traditional devotional and delves into social media also. Oftentimes, when I read devotions I wish that there was someone that I could discuss them with or ask questions to. This is the perfect solution! It releases on October 21, 2014, but is available for preorder now!

These books are just a small portion of what is available on the Family Christian website. There, you can check out all of the books, videos, and gifts that they have to offer!
