Throughout my pregnancy I was always so worried about something going wrong. There are so many things that have to work perfectly, and work in sync, in order to have a healthy baby. Of course, most of these things are beyond our control. I worried about him having a genetic disorder, or having a cord accident. These things actually brought me to tears and kept me awake at night.

By the grace of God, all of that worrying ended up being for naught as I ended up having a perfect, healthy baby boy. However, others (including some I know personally) have not been so lucky. My heart absolutely aches for these mothers, and the fathers too.

This blog, written by a mother whose son was diagnosed with Trisomy 18 early in her pregnancy and was told that he would not live more than a week or two chronicles her journey to 31 weeks when he son was born sleeping. It is an absolutely beautiful story that shows us what the true meaning of love is. Be sure to have a tissue handy because you will be in tears by the end!
